What the house actually is

Tables dealt by hand

Roulette, blackjack and baccarat run by dealers, not screens. Limits are agreed before you sit down and written on the table.

A small machine room, kept quiet

Machines sit in their own room away from the tables, so the salon stays calm enough to hear the croupier.

One wood fire, one kitchen

Everything comes off the same grill and the same pass. Cuts are named on the menu with the province they came from.

The mountains do the decorating

Stone from the range, marble in the baths, and windows left uncluttered so the ridge is the thing you look at.

Service that stays out of the way

One host per floor, no announcements, no music over the tables. Names are used and not repeated to anyone else.

What guests tell us

★★★★★
Two nights, and the quietest room I have slept in. The salon downstairs was busy and I never heard it.
Guest, terrace suite
★★★★★
The dealer explained the baccarat table without making me feel like a tourist. Dinner before it was the better half of the evening.
Guest, dinner and salon
★★★★☆
We booked the closed room for six. Own dealer, supper brought in, nobody hurried us out at the end.

Before you send the form

Do I have to be staying here to enter the salon?

No. The salon takes outside visitors as well as guests, but seats at the tables are limited, so tell us the date in the form and we will confirm whether there is room.

Why are there no prices on this page?

Rates move with the season and with which suite is free. We answer every enquiry with the actual figure for your dates rather than a number that changes by the week.

Is there a dress code?

In the salon and the dining room, yes: smart, jacket welcome, no sportswear. Elsewhere in the house, wear what you like.

Can you host a private group?

Yes — a closed room with its own dealer and its own service. Write the group size in the note field and we will come back with what is possible.

What about the mountains — can you arrange the day?

We book drivers and guides for you through people we use ourselves. Ask when you enquire and we will put it in the same reply.

Tell us the dates. We will call you back.

Suites, a seat in the salon, or a table at dinner — one form for all three.

This starts a conversation, not a confirmed booking — we come back to you with availability and a price before anything is held.

  • A host reads it and replies by email or phone.
  • We agree the dates, the suite and the figure together.
  • Nothing is charged and nothing is held until you say yes.
